An extension to an existing cottage which once was the first Tavern in Richmond.. The double height extension gives the feeling of space to a house with a small footprint. The height of the extension also allows the occupant to look back at the exposed brick of the existing cottage.
This project was for a private client. Retaining most of the original features of the property including the bluestone cellar with off street keg drop along with recycling a large portion of its original building materials this home exuberates warmth and character.
